Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, & care deeply about what we do every day.

Dr. Lacey Diebold

Owner, Veterinarian

Dr. Lacey Diebold was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, where she has fond memories of growing up with the family pets and spending a lot of time visiting the local zoo and wildlife parks. As soon as she was old enough, she started volunteering at that very same zoo, as well as a therapeutic horseback riding facility during her high-school years. For Dr. Diebold, a career spent bettering the lives of animals simply made sense! Now, she’s the proud owner and operator of Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Diebold launched her animal-care career by working as a Kennel Assistant at a clinic in Wichita, and later joined the Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic family as a Veterinary Assistant in 2007. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Friends University, she continued on to veterinary school at Kansas State University, where she earned her Doctoral degree. Dr. Diebold graduated in 2016 and returned to Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian, then purchased the clinic from the previous owner and her mentor, Dr. Philip Burford, in 2018.

Medically, Dr. Diebold enjoys surgical work and the great variety of ailments she’s able to solve on any given day with surgical techniques. She’s also fond of preventative care, and loves to see puppies and kittens grow into happy, healthy adult pets thanks to her efforts. Most of all, Dr. Diebold loves to serve her community and make a lasting difference in the lives of not only pets, but their owners as well.

When time allows outside of work, Dr. Diebold likes reading, decorating her home—she always has a new home-improvement project in the works, and she loves to take something old and reimagine it into something new!—and spending time with her family and pets. Dr. Diebold and her husband, David, have a wonderful newborn son named Grayson, and they also share their home with several pets. They have a Dachshund, Chloe, who has become young Grayson’s personal protector, as well as three loveable cats named Lily, Daisy, and Gizmo.

Dr. Amanda Jones

Dr. Amanda Jones grew up on a farm in rural Nebraska. Being raised in an agricultural community and staying active in the Future Farmers of America and 4-H organizations cemented her love of animals early on in life. For her, working hands-on with the earth’s creatures as a veterinary professional was the only choice that made sense! Dr. Jones is proud to help not only pets, but the people who care for them, as an Associate Veterinarian with the Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic family.

During high school, Dr. Jones worked at a large-animal clinic in Nebraska, gaining crucial experience that serves her well to this day. She went on to attend Kansas State University for both her undergraduate studies and her veterinary schooling. Dr. Diebold was a classmate of Dr. Jones’ during veterinary school, and the two were happy to connect again after Dr. Jones graduated. She started here at Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic in April of 2018 and has been serving the area’s pet parents and animal companions ever since.

Medically, Dr. Jones is fond of dentistry work and loves the reward that comes with a satisfying dental cleaning. She’s also passionate about client education and enjoys helping pet owners be as involved as possible in their beloved companions’ care.

Dr. Jones’ interests outside of work include hunting, gardening, and baking—she especially likes to bake treats for her fellow staff members here at the clinic! She and her husband, Weston, are expecting their first child in the very near future, and share their lives with several animal companions: Isabel, their dog who loves to go bird-hunting with them, as well as a flock of eight chickens and seven loveable goats.
