Zeida Lara

Zeida Lara

Receptionist

Growing up, Zeida had always been drawn to animals. She was inspired by their unconditional love and felt compelled to be their voice. As she got older, she just knew that she wanted to make a difference in this world. What better way than to help these furry companions live longer, healthier lives? All of this was solidified one afternoon when Zeida, along with her sister and cousin, rescued an injured bird, saving it from certain death. It was an unforgettable experience that inspires her to this day!

Zeida began her journey in the veterinary industry by joining the vet tech program at WSU Tech, during which time she completed her required observation hours right here at Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic. Her life took a different turn, however, when she became pregnant and decided to put her studies on hold. Remembering what a good fit she was with the team, she decided to come back and join us once again.

In her role as Receptionist, Zeida relishes being able to talk with clients and get to know them on a personal level. Of course, bonding with our patients is the aspect of the job she loves the most! Professionally, she has a special interest in pharmacy. She enjoys refilling prescriptions as well as learning about different types of medications and how they can improve the quality of an animal’s life.

Outside of the clinic, Zeida shares her life with her spouse and their daughter, Carolina, whom the couple readily admits is the boss of the house. They currently do not own any pets but hope to adopt in the future. When she’s not busy running our front desk or chasing after Carolina, Zeida loves to pursue her other passion: travel. She especially loves the mountains of Colorado. She also enjoys watching anime and read manga.

Bella Boulanger

Bella Boulanger

Kennel Assistant

Bella, like most who work in the world of veterinary medicine, has loved animals ever since her earliest days. She’s always suspected that she would love to help pets hands-on in an animal clinic. After joining the Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic family, it didn’t take long for her to know that she’d made the perfect choice! Bella is a proud member of the hospital’s kennel team.

Bella is a Wichita native and lived in Destin, Florida for a time before returning to this area with her family. Her parents began bringing the family dogs here to Sweetbriar Veterinary Clinic, which is how Bella first heard about an open position—she didn’t waste any time applying for the job. She started as a member of the kennel team in 2020 and couldn’t be happier to launch her journey in veterinary care right here at the clinic. Bella especially enjoys interacting with a variety of animal personalities every day, and she never tires of observing surgical procedures or helping out with vaccinations and other routine care needs. She’s also fond of doting on the hospital’s beloved clinic cat, Calvin.

When time permits between school and work, Bella loves to play volleyball and currently plays for her high school and on a club team. (She hopes to continue her volleyball career at college in the future!) At home, she has one pet of her own: Luca, a Goldendoodle puppy who knows multiple tricks and especially loves to shake hands.
